Anna Mansbach Obituary

ANNA "ANNIE" ROSEMARY MANSBACH was born in Huntington, West Virginia on May 3, 1926. Brought into this world by her mother Lima and Father, Charles Noe and the last surviving of her brother, Paul and 2 sisters Autie Welsch & Lois Lawson. Preceded in death by her late husbands, Gerald Jay Mansbach & Charles "Chic" Snider, Daughter Priscilla "Pris" Johnson and remembered by her son, Jon Snider, and step-son Jon Gittleman. Annie is remembered with love by her grandchildren, Keelie Chatfield (Scott), Jess Johnson , and Nicole Johnson (Rick Whitwell). Along with her beloved great grandchildren, Max Chatfield, Kai Johnson, Liberty Whitwell, Alex Chatfield and Charlotte Whitwell, and her loving nieces and nephews from all over the United States.
Annie passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on January 27, 2024. She was 97 years old. Annie was a wonderful mother, excellent cook, homemaker, storyteller and avid sports fan. She enjoyed travel, in particular, walking the beach and drinking her coffee, during family trips to the Bahamas. Annie was the life of the party, no matter where she went. Whether it was watching her Raiders play, with dreams of sitting in the black hole or cheering on her Warriors, she was always there with Jer, rooting on her team. Passionate about philanthropy and anything to do with animals, she was very involved with charitable organizations within her community. Her passion drove her to bring to life, "Annie's Place" a woman's shelter created with a loving vision to help provide sanctuary to abused women, a cause close to her heart. Annie never met a dog she didn't love and spent her years giving back in any way she could ensure that even the dogs she couldn't bring home would have a chance at finding their forever home.
Annie's zest for life captivated any and all who knew her and was evident in her strong personality and famous jokes. Anybody who had the pleasure of meeting her was forever changed by the warmth of her smile and genuine kindness that she exuded wherever she went. For some it was her class and style and for others her sass that left a trail of laughter always lingering in her wake. There was never a stranger in her world and she gave selflessly to anybody she met who may be in need. Annie will be remembered and missed by so many. Her legacy held tenderly with love and admiration for a life that truly made the world a better place.
There will be a private service held for family and close friends. Condolence Cards can be sent P.O. Box 1427 Ashland, KY 41105. Flowers may be donated to local Assisted living and elderly homes per her request. Please consider donating to her favorite charities in lieu of flowers; Retirement Home for Horses Mill Creek, 20307 Co. I was just putting some files away in my file cabinet and who came across Anne's and
I thought wonder what she's up to I did look her up online and I saw this. I am so sorry it breaks my heart but I know she's in a better place. And I so enjoyed when she would come into my store. We had a good time always. I remember when she asked me to send her some of the palm fronds I have of the cheeky roof in my store, to her home so she could put them on the roof of her Lake cabanan. What a wonderful soul
