ARTURO LUMAPAS Obituary
ARTURO RAMIREZ LUMAPAS, M.D., of Huntington, W.Va., passed away June 6, 2018, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He was 75. Dr. Lumapas was born May 22, 1943, in Misamis Occidental, Philippines, to the last Rufino and Remedios Lumapas. He graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, with a Doctor of Medicine. He was united in marriage to Dr. Miguela Lim in Michigan, and they shared almost 45 years of marriage. They resided for the last 34 years in Huntington, W.Va., where he was a retired psychiatrist from Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital and Prestera Center. He is survived by daughters, Dr. Maria Armilee Lim Lumapas (Dr. Seth Levin) and Dr. Arminda Lim Lumapas (Dr. Steven Parker), and his grandchildren, Alina, Gabriel and Alexander. He is also remembered by his sisters and brothers, Blesida, Isagani, Odilona and Gilbert. He is preceded in death by Michael, Alfredo and llura. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2018, at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 545 Norway Avenue, Huntington, W.Va. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dr. Lumapas' life.
