BOYCE LAWRENCE Obituary

BOYCE ADRIN LAWRENCE, 78, of Port Orange, Fla., formerly of Ona, W.Va., husband of Sandra Lawrence, passed away on Sept. 9, 2014. He was the son of Hezekiah and Lillian Lawrence of Huntington. He is survived by his son, Scot Lawrence (Ashley) and daughter, Kalyn Johnson (Randy) and five grandchildren, Drew, Sarah and Jacob Lawrence and Lauren and Alan Johnson. Boyce was a BT Chief in the Navy serving on 2 aircraft carriers and 4 Destroyers. He completed 20 years of military service, and during his last 3 years of duty he was Company Commander at the Orlando Naval Training Center. After retiring from the Navy, he joined his brother, Jimmy, in business at Russell Creek Gulf - and then worked and retired as a Senior Field Rep for CNA Insurance Company inspecting boilers and machinery. He was also a member of The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessels and a lifetime member of the American Legion and the VFW. A gathering will be held on Fri., Sept. 12, at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton Ave, Port Orange, FL 32127 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. A service of remembrance will begin at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com.
