BUFFY ARTHUR Obituary
BUFFY THACKER ARTHUR, 43, of Huntington passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Buffy was born February 20, 1973, in Ashland, Ky., daughter of Jamie Clay and the late Bobby Dale Thacker. She was a telemarketer with G C Services and a Beautician. Besides her father she was also preceded in death by a brother Christopher Spencer. Besides her mother she is also survived by one daughter, Alyssa Jane Arthur (Brandon Clagg); one son, Bobby Lee Arthur (Sydnee Hall); the father of her children Scott Arthur; one brother, Tony Talbert; her step-mother Roseana Thacker White; a special cousin Katrina Cruz; fiance' Vince Agee Jr., and numerous other friends and family members. Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016, at the First Baptist Church of Kenova. Funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. following visitation with Pastor Scott Byard officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Vietnam Agent Orange Relief & Responsibility Campaign, P.O. Box 303, Prince Station, New York, NY 10012-0006 or the Army Emergency Relief Fund, 200 Stovall Street, Alexandria, VA 22332. Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova is assisting the family. Dear family: I was shocked to hear of this tragic loss. Buffy and I became good friends in middle school. We used to do sleepovers and double dates, etc. together while in band. She even made band camp fun!
Buffy loved her family very much and bragged on all of you like crazy on FB. I haven't lived in WV since High School but we kept in touch on social media.
I know you are grieving and no words right now will make you feel any better. Please know that so many are praying for you. Lean on God, He will carry you on the days you don't even feel like getting out of bed. Buffy was tough and she would want you to be too.

Buffy never knew a stranger and was very outgoing. I don't ever remember being selfish or mean to anyone. Love her heart and so beautiful inside and out. Random memories pop in my head. I can't remember when I met Buffy. The first memory that come to mind was in third grade. She came to school and told a bad joke. I decided I was gonna write it down to remember it and a certain person told on me and we both got in trouble. Then another silly memory was in middle school (can't remember if it was 6th grade or 7th) Buffy held a lead pencil under my butt in my chair and I went set down. Lol! Yeah I still a have a spot of lead on my butt to remember that by! I remember cheering with her and having a pool party at April hamptons house. Buffy was there cause she lived very close. I didn't really see her as we got older. However we went through another phase in life. Seems we were going through separations at the same time. Buffy reached out to me on Facebook messenger. We found happiness again in our lives. I'm glad we were able to catch up. One more thing...we shared the same Aunt Betty. My aunt Betty was her dads sister. My aunt Betty Janie was married to my moms brother. That's enough about memories. They will carry on in my mind. I would've been there . The arrangements posted the day of. I had family plans already made (kids involved). Buffy would've wanted me to celebrate and continue on. Fly high beautiful Angel.

I knew Buffy for awhile we all went t school together I a few years older than she was but,such a small school and community everybody knew everyone...Last time I n Buffy was foodfair in wesmoreland,we chatted for awhile about back in the day our lives now..She was a vey proud mommy who loved her children with all her heart.Buffy always had that amazing smile and her energy she had for life...My prayers ae with her child,mother and family.So sorry her life was taken so soon...

Buffy was such a sweetheart. My daughter said no one could cut and color hair like she could. She cut my hair many times and was the best! I just talked to her a couple weeks ago and she was always smiling and friendly. We will miss her. Praying for her children and family.

I met Buffy when my family moved from Ohio back to w.Va. she was one of the first smiling faces to make me feel welcome at Buffalo middle.
She was always so kind-hearted to others and beautiful inside and out.

Hello,
My name is Karen Nelson Ashworth and I've known Buffy since we were little and went to Buffalo together. My dad Clifford Nelson was really good friends with her daddy that's in Heaven with her now. It's hard and sad because we all grow up and go our separate ways but my daughter and I were blessed that we got to run into Buffy and her mom Rosie just a few days before the accident. We hugged and talked about the good old day's and how blessed we are being mother's to our beautiful children. Buffy had just invited me and my husband to join them to go 4 wheeling and fishing with them. I wish I could have went back in time and went the day of the accident.
My heart is so broken :(
I love you Buffy and I'll never forget your beautiful face and smile.
