Lisa Elaine Sanner-Arthur, 60, passed away February 20, 2026. She was born July 13, 1965, in Jeanette, PA. Lisa was the beloved daughter of Sandra Thaw and Billie Sanner Sr, who survives. She was a daughter, sister, aunt, mother, and grandmother best known as “Nan”. She grew up in Marion, OH and was a kind, gentle, loving, and overall beloved woman with a beautiful soul. Lisa would always find time to enjoy her love for board games, especially when it came to family. She would bond with her grandkids through playing cards and her daughter through puzzles; all if it meant spending time with her family. This extended to her son, where they would find happiness together through shows and movies alike. She loved her dogs like children, with all the love and care a mother could give. Lisa also enjoyed online selling and shopping.
Lisa is survived by children: Amber Arthur, Brandy (Joe) Johnson, and Sean Galleher, all of Marion, OH; grandchildren: Damian, Josh Jr., Quentin, Shaelynn, Desiare, Michael Jr., and Aria, all of Marion, OH; siblings: Julie Sanner of Columbus, OH, Kari Sanner, John Thaw, Lori (Tim) Gafkjen, Jill Sanner, Dawn Thaw Boyd, all of Marion, OH; half-sister Angel (Scott) Daly of WV, step brother Bob (Val) Wilson of PA, and step sisters: Shelly (Neil) Haupt of GA and Lori Lockhart of PA; aunts and uncles: Ray McCandless, Nancy Bosh, Barb Bosh, Gerald (Patricia) Bosh, and Gary McCandless; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life Tim Arthur, grandparents: Royal and Iva Bosh of Marion, OH, and Harold and Dorothy McCandless of Oil City, PA, step father Donald “Red Dog” Thaw of Marion, OH, sisters: Brenda Sue Sanner and Lisa E Thaw, both of Marion, OH, step mother Sue Sanner and half-brother Billie Sanner Jr. of Oil City, PA, 3 nephews, several aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Lisa at Salem Church of God, 5754 Decliff-Big Island Rd. Marion, OH 43302, On March 7, 2026, time to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to [email protected] to her daughter’s PayPal to help with expenses due to Lisa not having life insurance.
