Dona McKee Obituary
She was born Dona Frances Cox on May 1, 1929 in Lucasville, OH to the late Glen and Nettie (Phipps) Cox.
She met her late husband , William James McKee (Bill), while working at the Boston Store in downtown Delaware. Dona and Bill were married July 4, 1947 and had three children together.
She is survived by her daughter: Vickie Goble of Delaware; a son, James (Bonnie) of Marion; four grandchildren, Amy (Douglas) Bennett, Jeffrey Armstrong, Krista (Joseph) Metzger, Dawn McKee; and 13 great grandchildren.
Dona is preceded in death by six siblings: Helen Crawford, Joseph Cox, John Cox, Louise Blankenship, Glenna Porter and Frank Cox; a son, Larry McKee (Vietnam War-March 1972) and one grandchild, Jennifer Armstrong.
Dona worked in the dietary department at Grady Memorial Hospital before retiring. She liked collecting dolls and salt and pepper shakers. Dona also loved to shop and go to yard and garage sales.
The family would like to thank The Meadows of Marion and Tranquility Hospice for the care they provided Dona.
