The Emerson's took me in their home one summer while a student at Marshall. I was young in age and in my spiritual journey. Carolyn graciously and thoughtfully upended my immature, brash bible views and lovingly taught me a better way. I'm forever grateful for this loving, gracious family. The angels are singing and Carolyn's work on earth is ended and I'm sure she is still turning her many gifts of loving and leading boys and turning them into men of graciousness and faith. Blessings to Scott, Larry and Mike and the all grandchildren.

To Mike and other sons,
I am sorry to hear of your loss. Carolyn was a lovely woman and good friend at Woodlands. Some of my favorite memories are sharing the birthday dinners with Carolyn and Bos and Dotty Johnson, and the lively discussions we had. I will be out of town at the time of her memorial service and will not be there to offer my condolences in person. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

My heartfelt thoughts go out to your family. I was very privilege to serve Carolyn and Gordon over the years. I always enjoyed my conversations with them when they visited me.

To Scott and family.. I met your mom the first day I moved to
Woodlands.. She greeted me with flowers and welcomed me here. I still have the picture of the flowers. She was a dear sweet lady and will be missed greatly. Love and prayers to you and your family.
