EDITH SHEPHERD Obituary
EDITH B. SHEPHERD, 96, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017, at her residence. Funeral service will be conducted at noon Monday, May 15, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Rod Justice officiating. Entombment will be in Woodmere Memorial Park's Mausoleum. Edith was born in Cabell County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Jacob Bartram and Stella Adkins. Also preceding her in death was one son, Clemeth Shepherd. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanie and Norman Hanley of Huntington, Carol and Larry Perry of Branchland, W.Va.; one brother, Gary Adkins and wife Brenda of East Lynn; 10 grandsons, 15 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, 1101 6th Ave., Huntington, in her name. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 14, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary. Online condolences may be sent to www.chapmans-mortuary.com.
