Edward Ritchie Obituary
EDWARD L. RITCHIE, 79, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026, in Baptist Medical Center South Campus. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Jerry Matt officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV.
Ed was born March 21, 1946 in Frostburg, MD, a son of the late Roy and Eleanor (Yantz) Ritchie. He retired from CSX after 32+ years of employment. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Ed was proud of his many years with the railroad. He was also an avid golfer which worked out well having retired where the railroad last sent him… Florida.
Ed is survived by his wife of 32 years, Judy Ritchie; son, Randy Ritchie and daughter, Stacey Baker, both of Cumberland, MD; stepson, Jimmy Hale of Deatsville, AL; stepdaughter, Julie Mount of Kitts Hill, OH; grandchildren, Taylor Baker, Carlin Baker, Camden Ritchie, and Justin Mount.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Chapmans Mortuary, Huntington.
