EDWIN N. VINSON

EDWIN N. VINSON, of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Huntington, W.Va., died November 23, 2018. Mr. Vinson was born on August 31, 1943, son of the late Taylor and Betty Jane Nelson Vinson of Huntington. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Z. Taylor Vinson. He graduated from the Forman School, Litchfield, Conn., Parsons College and received an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management, Phoenix, Ariz. Mr. Vinson served under two presidents of Marshall University before joining his family business in 1978. He was a member of the Order of the First Families of Virginia, Guyan Golf and Country Club, Gypsy Club, City Club of Huntington and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. In Florida, Mr. Vinson's memberships included the Palm Beach Rountable and the Palm Beach Yacht Club. Survivors include his former wife, Cherry S. Vinson; three children, Col. James T. Vinson (Lindsay), Blair Vinson Morse and Edwin N. "Ned" Vinson Jr. (Brandy); and six grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Blair Koehl of Dallas, Pa., and Delray Beach, Fla., and Betty Jane Helander of Westfield, N.J., and Delray Beach, Fla. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018, by The Rev. Dr. Chip Graves and The Rev. James H. Morgan at Trinity Episcopal Church. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
