Elsie White Obituary
ELSIE V. (MCCORMICK) WHITE, age 96, passed away on Friday May 2, 2025. She was born on December 18, 1928 in Lanham, WV to the late Edward and Bettie (Withrow) McCormick. She lived most of her life in Huntington, WV and was an active member of the Central Church of the Nazarene. Friends and relatives remember her as a kind and giving soul who spent most of her adult life caring for others.
Elsie is survived by granddaughter Stephanie (Charles/CW) Tanner, and great granddaughters Josie Tanner and Mirinda Tanner, all from New Port Richey.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard White, her son Gordon White, and her daughter Barbara Heck. Elsie has joined them at her final resting place in Ridgelawn Memorial Park in Huntington.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th at 12:30 p.m. at the Abbey of Devotion at Woodmere Cemetery, 5547 W. Pea Ridge, Huntington, WV 25705.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Central Church of the Nazarene, 1102 Adams Avenue, Huntington, WV, 25704.
