FRED LAWERENCE BUGG, 87, of Barboursville, W.Va., formerly of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015, at Wyngate Assisted Living. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Steve Hensley officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. He was born July 12, 1927 in Hartford, Ill., a son of the late William Bugg and Gladys Tiefenthaler Inlow. He was a retired instrument technician for Honeywell and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Betty L. Gerl Bugg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michaela "Mike" Bugg Chiles and Chris Chiles of Barboursville and Jo Bugg Brookover and Mark Brookover of Leesburg, Fla.; a son and daughter-in-law, Clifford and Terry Bugg of Chillicothe, Ohio; four grandchildren, Christopher "Kicker" Chiles (Chelsea) of Barboursville, Drew Chiles (Shannon) of Batesville, Miss., Ben Chiles (Samantha), of Barboursville, and Eva Bugg of Chillicothe, Ohio; a great-grandchild, Campbell Grace Chiles; a sister, Evelyn Mahanay of East Alton, Ill.; and a brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Sherry Bugg of Wood River, Ill. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at Chapman's Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington.
