GARY LAPELLE Obituary
GARY RAY LAPELLE, 70, of Huntington, died Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at his residence. He was born July 3, 1946, in Huntington, a son of the late Anthony Joseph and Freda Aldine Hicks Lapelle. Gary was a freelance artist, having enjoyed his specialty of cartoon pet portraits; a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church; member of the Tri-State Artist Association and Renaissance Art Gallery; and an animal lover. He is survived by his twin brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Carla Lapelle of Huntington; a sister, Lynette Lapelle McCallister of Huntington; a niece, Trisha McGinnis and husband Randy McGinnis of Huntington; nephews, David Lapelle and wife Geri Lapelle of Huntington and Scott McCallister and wife Lori McCallister of Barboursville; and friends, Ted Workman and Susan March. Donations would be appreciated to Little Victories. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary with Father Dean Borgmeyer officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. Friends may visit family one hour prior to services at Chapman's Mortuary and send condolences to www.chapmans-mortuary.com.
