George Wolfe Obituary
GEORGE HARRY WOLFE JR., 77 of Chesapeake, Ohio, husband of Joy Wolfe, died Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at King's Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Ky. Celebration of George's life will be held from 3 until 5 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington, with Kim Wolfe speaking at 4:45. George was born April 19, 1946 in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late George Harry "Pete" and Edith Virginia Reed Wolfe. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Dick Wolfe. He was owner and operator of King's Row Barber Shop. Additional survivors include one son, Chris Wolfe of Huntington, a stepson, Daniel Craig Craft and Tiffany of Chesapeake, two sisters, Nina (Wetzel) Perdue of Huntington and Sharon Lambert of Kenova; one brother, J.D. (Millie) Wolfe of Huntington and a sister-in-law, Judy Wolfe of Charlotte, N.C. The family would like to thank all of the customers that supported him over the years. You were my barber for many years & I will miss you.
George was more than just a barber, he was a great listener (he helped me through many tough times in my life ((loss of my wife, talks about my autistic son Brian)), he was always compassionate & cared beyond just a good haircut.
Gave my autistic son a place to go & was truly accepted - Brian called you a "Good Friend"
My grandson calls him "Hippie George".
I considered him a man you could talk to about all situations in life.
Keep a chair open for me up there - if you can - I'll be looking for you

He was my barber for five/six years. He was funny and easy to talk to when I was at his barbershop. I liked him because everything seems so down to earth. It was really a pleasure having to know this man. We need more people like George in this world. AMEN

I'm very sorry for your loss. I knew George to be a fun loving kind person. We worked next door to each other, he in the barbershop I and the hair salon.

For many years - every Sunday - George, Doug and myself would play golf, laugh and the friendship was grown into something special. Over the last few years, since I moved to AZ, I have always made it a point to stop by and talk to my old friend every time I was back in WV. Now I guess George & Doug will have a twosome in Heaven waiting on me to get there someday. To the family, George was a wonderful guys, and I know family always came first. Love to all of you and sorry I can´t be with you during this time.
I always have and will continue to miss him and his friendship.

George had been my barber for almost thirty years. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations during that time. I could always count on a good laugh during each visit. When discussing politics, we both agreed that "Common Sense" was in short supply. I will miss him! My condolences to Chris and his family.
