James Jordan Obituary


JAMES MICHAEL JORDAN, age 79, of Huntington, WV passed away on September 20, 2025. He was born on September 18, 1946 in Huntington to the late James W. Jordan and Lois M. Petry Jordan. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Judith Jordan.
A 1964 HEHS graduate, he also graduated from Marshall University with a degree in Electrical engineering where he was a member of the Thundering Herd Basketball team. He was previously employed by Appalachian Power but also established a successful rental property business. His true passion was fishing. From pike fishing in Canada to bass fishing in Lake Fork, Texas and many places in between.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Mount Jordan; children, Jamie Meadows (Bruce), Talisha Franklin (Josh), Jarrod Jordan (Jessica), and Josh Jordan (Audrey); grandchildren, Jara Kiser, Jordan, Shelby and Sophia King, Ayla James, Henry and Vivian Franklin, Kennedy and Audrey Jordan; great- grandchildren, Carson Mael and Ivy Eller.
He lived a life full of hard work, many family trips and adventures, and lots and lots of laughs.
Friends may call Thursday, September 25, 2025 from Noon until 1 p.m. at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington. Funeral services will be held immediately after. Burial will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
