NORMAN KITTS Obituary

NORMAN FRANK KITTS, 80, of Fort Gay, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. He was born August 10, 1934 in Genoa, a son of the late Sidney and Hattie Watts Kitts. He was a supervisor for the Norfolk and Southern Railroad, a Kentucky Colonel, member and minister of the Old Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, member of the Masonic Lodge #66 of Fort Gay, member of the Eastern Star and a Navy Veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris Ann Parsons Kitts; sister, LaEuna Stiltner; and a brother, P.T. Kitts. Surviving are his children, Lee and Regina Kitts of Fort Gay, Norman Frank Jr. and Lisa Kitts of Fort Gay, Hattie and J.D. Marcum of Fort Gay, Willa and Eugene Salmons of Fort Gay, Sid and Mary Kitts of Louisa, Ky., and Kathy and Herman Crabtree of Fort Gay; brothers and sisters, Elwood and Alma Kitts of Lodi, Ohio, Kathryn and Fred Parsons of Fort Gay, Sue Perry of Proctorville, Ohio, Anne Spurlock of Wayne, Mary Thompson of Flatwoods, Ky., C.B. and Patty Kitts of Jamestown, Ky., and Jackie Sid and Marla Kitts of Rockford, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Services will be Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Dennis Romans and Tim Drake officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 24, 2014, from 5-9 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Louisa, Ky.
