Patrick David Luther

PATRICK DAVID LUTHER, 83, of South Point, OH, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV.
He was born February 13, 1942, in Spangler, PA, the son of the late Urban and Helen Miller Luther. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Ronnie Luther, Bill Luther, Darl Luther, Duane Luther, and Jim Luther; two sisters, Ginger Kelly and Sylvia Novotny; one grandson, James Riley; and a special son-in-law, Dale Reed.
Patrick was a United States Navy Veteran. He retired from CSX as a Conductor after many years of service. He is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne Dillon Luther; six children, Patrick M. Luther of Lucky, OH, Kelly Ann Dieterich of Mentor, OH, Pamela Hughes and Carla Adkins, both of South Point, OH, Kathryn Riley of Proctorville, OH, and Kimberly Reed of Cattaraugus, NY; four sisters, Ruth (Robert) Componation and Judy (Al) Kraus, both of The Villages, FL, Donita Slovensky of Pier Port, OH, and Joann Midlik of Warren, PA; one brother, Paul Luther of Eastlake, OH; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Wallace Family Funeral Home, South Point, OH. Family and friends may visit from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., prior to the service, a time for shared memories and support. Military honors will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Barboursville Veterans Home, Barboursville, WV, in Patrick's memory.
