Paul Emmett Hayes

PAUL EMMETT HAYES, 84, of Proctorville, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. He was born December 24, 1940, in Lawrence County, Ohio son of the late Berkley and Sylvia Bradley Hayes. Paul is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years in September 2025, Janice Thacker Hayes; their children, Tim Hayes, and Tammie Hayes; and one sister, Phyllis Hayes. He was a member of Finley Chapel and also attended Windsor Church. He was a retired cabinet maker with Chandlers Plywood Products and a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed woodworking especially making cabinets, loved the outdoors, animals, loved watching The Ohio State Buckeyes but most importantly he loved God.
Funeral service will be conducted by Rev Harold Hamlin and Pastor Brian Pinkerman at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with visitation being held one hour prior to the service also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses at St. Mary's Medical Center, Encompass Rehab and The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House for their kindness and love shown the past six months.
