Rebecca Bennett Obituary

REBECCA RENEE BENNETT, 62, of Huntington, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, WV.
Born on February 28, 1963, in Huntington, WV, she was the beloved daughter of Ray and Reba Bennett.
Rebecca is survived by her parents, Ray and Reba Bennett; her sister, Sue Bennett; her children, Ashley Gibbs (Samantha), Laura Shank (Adam), Chelsea Mendes (Michael), and Kirby McCallister; and her cherished grandchildren, Abigayle and Delilah Gibbs, Henry and Oliver Shank, Kathryn and Winter Kinder, Eleanor Mendes, and Kiko McCallister.
Rebecca was a devoted mother and found her greatest joy for the last 15 years in being "Granny" to her precious grandbabies. She was fierce and full of love someone who gave of herself freely and touched everyone she met. Rebecca was a gifted artist and singer, a lover of crafts, and a woman whose faith in the Lord provided peace. She never met a stranger, and she approached life with an adventurous spirit, always ready to travel, laugh, and make new memories.
A memorial service to celebrate Rebecca's life will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Farmdale Church of Christ in Barboursville, WV.
Her warmth, laughter, and unwavering love will be forever missed by those who knew her.
