ROSELINE VERNATTE Obituary

ROSELINE DURKIN VERNATTE, 86, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014, in Huntington Health and Rehab. She was born January 30, 1928, in Cabell County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Martin and Nira Jane Rose Durkin. Her husband, Charles Ivan Vernatte, a daughter Deborah Kay McGuire, three sisters, and a brother also preceded her in death. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Survivors include four sons, Glenn (Paula) Durkin of Tampa, Fla., Scott (Vicki) Adkins of Huntington, Kevin Durkin of Chesapeake, Ohio and Michael Adkins of Huntington; two sisters, Betty Ruth Walls of Proctorville, Ohio and Geraldine Lykins of New Jersey; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Dr. John Duffy officiating. Entombment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at Chapman's Mortuary. www.chapmans-mortuary.com.
