Sherill Midkiff Obituary

SHERILL GENE MIDKIFF, 93, of Huntington, WV, died on August 4, 2025. He was born in Salt Rock, WV, on May 26, 1932, the son of the late Lon and Blanch Walker Midkiff. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Geneieve Midkiff, and a stepson, Victor Scott Ball, one brother, Lon Midkiff Jr., and one sister, Janice M. Burns.
He is survived by one sister, Shirley M. Carr of Lexington, VA, and several nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Barboursville High School. Sherill served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He was a bread deliveryman and was a Cabell County school bus driver. Sherill was a longtime member of the Trinity Church of God.
There will be a graveside service at Sanders Cemetery, Branchland, WV at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2025. There will not be a visitation at the funeral home.
Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, WV, is in charge of the details.
The family acknowledges the excellence of the folks at Wyngate of Proctorville, OH, for their outstanding care to Sherill.
