Steven Cody Obituary


DR. STEVEN GERARD CODY, 72, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in St. Mary's Medical Center.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 11 a.m.-12 p.m, Monday, September 22, 2025, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington. Inurnment will be in Woodmere Memorial Park.
Steven was born May 11, 1953, in Rapid City, SD a son of the late James Cody, Jr. and Arlene (Butler) Beveridge. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Stephanie Bowen.
Survivors include: his ex-wife, Dr. Evelyn Pupplo; grandchildren, Elina Bowen and Raiden Bowen; sister, Tricia Cody of New Jersey; brothers, Wade Cody of New Jersey, Matthew Cody of New York, Robert Cody of Florida, Robert McDonald of Virginia; and best friend David Clayman.
Steve was what some would consider a Renaissance man. He enjoyed in-depth WWII themed board games. Steve was also a member of the Road Runners club, the Putnam Gun club, and the Ashland Gun club. He enjoyed playing guitar, watercolor painting, and calligraphy.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Lily's Place to help babies born with NAS.
