My heart hurts on this one! The Spaulding "kids" were such a big part of mine and my brother's childhood/teens. My brother was Billy's age and ran around with the boys, and I was several years younger. Today when I heard about Terry (well, back in the day he was Beaver to all of us), I shared with my husband some of the funny antics of growing up with a family of five preacher's kids and the warm memories of the friendship that remained even after they moved to Ohio from our little West Virginia town. What a fun bunch and never a dull moment. My prayers are with this precious family. Though today my heart is sad, I will always look back and laugh gratefully at the stories. Several decades go by in a blink, don't they? God bless and comfort all of you, especially Katherine and their children/grandchildren.
