Chad Myers Obituary

DECATUR - Chad Myers, 21, of Decatur, IL, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2005 as a result of injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. Visitation will be 4 to 8 P.M., Saturday, October 8, 2005 at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, October 9, 2005 at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home with Pastor Wray Offermann officiating. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery, Harristown, IL. Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Chad was born August 21, 1984 in Decatur, IL the son of Danny and Tena (Pierce) Myers. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Chad graduated from Niantic-Harristown High School in 2002 and was a graduate of Nashville Auto & Diesel College in Nashville, TN. He had worked for 2 years as an Auto Mechanic for Foremost Truck & Trailer in Macon, IL. Chad enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycles and racing. Chad is survived by his parents, Danny and Tena Myers of Decatur, IL, sister, Amie Unland and husband Michael of Mt. Zion, IL, grandparents, Fran and John Tonsor of Decatur, IL and Bill and Patricia Pierce of Pana, IL, great grandmother Jerry Thompson of Decatur, aunts and uncles, Ralph Myers and wife Judy of Argenta, IL, Donald Myers and wife Sue of Argenta, IL, Joyce Burns and husband George of Lees Summit, Missouri, LaDonna Williamson of Jerseyville, IL, Gerald Myers of Decatur, IL, Sheila Mullins and husband John of Argenta, IL, Allen Myers of Decatur, IL, Shelly Pinkston and husband Mike of Decatur, IL, Lisa Sturgis and husband Bert of Decatur, IL, Kelley Suzewits of Decatur, IL, many cousins and special friends Dave and Darla, Katie and Felicia Rogers. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Paul & Maxine Myers and maternal great grandfather Myron Thompson.
