CLARKSVILLE, TENNESSEE - Rev. Dr. Connie (Dennis) Cissna passed away on August 4, 2024 in Clarksville, TN with her children at her side after a short time in hospice. She was born on July 12, 1950, in Taylorville, Illinois, to Martin Carroll Dennis and Ada Belle (Ditterline) Dennis of Macon County, Illinois.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her sister, Sharon Ann (Dennis) Whitten, and two infant brothers, David and Joseph. She is survived by siblings: Mike (Marcia) Dennis, Stephen (Ruth) Dennis, Sandra Dennis, Robin Dennis, and her two daughters, Dr. Kerri Cissna and Ada Cissna Pollock, and her beloved grandson, Devin Pollock.

Connie devoted her life to serving Christ and His Church, holding numerous leadership roles throughout her career including Co-pastor at Peoples Church of God in Decatur, Illinois.

Her special legacy includes countless individuals she mentored into ministry, ensuring her impact will resonate for generations to come.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Life Builders Church of God in Decatur, IL on October 12, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Connie will be laid to rest at Macon County Memorial Park in Harristown, Illinois, alongside her mother and sister.
