Cindy was born April 8, 1949, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Charles Owen and Beulah (Lobdill) Lehman. Cindy was a teacher for over 30 years for Decatur Public Schools. She taught Special Education at Mound Middle School and English at Thomas Jefferson Middle School, where she was an extremely caring and devoted teacher. Cindy enjoyed collecting Steiff bears with her daughter. She most enjoyed spending time with her daughter, family, and friends. She is survived by her daughter Anastasia Freeman and husband Jeremy of Decatur, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents. My mother was the most beautiful and talented person I know. She was completely devoted to me and made me feel like the most special person in the world. She encouraged me and made me the person I am today. Our time together was so precious to both of us. She was my inspiration, role model, and best friend. I will admire and love her always. Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com. Obituary written by family members. Dear Anastasia,
I am so sorry. Your mother was a fantastic person. She thought the world of you. I will miss her greatly. I groomed Murphy for her, so I would see her often. Murphy will be lost also. You are in my prayers.

Your mother was a wonderful caring teacher, friend and colleague. There were many nights we worked late getting ready for our students, she still doing this after many years of experience. Her dedication was reflected in everything she did. Her kind smile and gentle ways will be sorely missed. God wrap his arms around you and surround you with his comforting peace during this difficult time.
