Derrick Dampher Obituary

DECATUR - Derrick A. Dampher, 42 of Decatur passed away at 9:15p.m., January 9, 2007 in his residence. Funeral services will be at 11 A.M. Saturday, January 13, 2007 in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. The family suggests causal attire for services. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Derrick was born in Brownsville, Tennessee the son of Opal Anderson and Jasper Florence and Virgie and O.D. Dampher. He married Denise Wiseman on August 13, 2003. He was employed at Walmart-North, in Decatur. He had served in the U.S. Army having been stationed in Germany during most of his tour. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler's football fan. Surviving is his wife Denise of Decatur, children: Heath, Damian, Phillip, Tymori and Anecia. Mother: Opal. Brothers: Darrin and Tim. Sisters: Tiffany and Tongela. Special Aunt: Mareen. He was preceded in death by his mother Virgie, father O.D. and grandparents Eddie Lee and Tabetha Perkins. Obituary written by family members.
