Grace Viola Nixon

DECATUR - Grace Viola Nixon, 95, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 4:55 a.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010, at Heartland Health Care Center. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 23, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m Thursday, April 22 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospitals. Grace was born on March 31, 1915, in Newton, IL, the daughter of John Wesley and Lydia A. (Mendenhall) Beckwith. She married Harold Allen Nixon on June 6, 1960 in Decatur. He preceded her in death in 1964. Grace was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and enjoyed volunteering at church. Grace worked as an LPN for many years. She enjoyed crafts and sewing. Surviving are her daughters Margie Kibler of Decatur, IL, Carolyn (Marvin) Cole of Lexington, IL; stepson Maurice Levitt of Neoga, IL; grandchildren Dale Wesley (Donna) Kibler of Maroa, IL, Harold E. (Lisa) Kibler of Decatur, IL, Robyn (Brad) Berry of Lexington, IL, Rhonda (Billy) Volz of Cooksville, IL; great-grandchildren Jeff Kibler, Jennifer Rose, Nicole Berry, Brendan Berry, Cory Volz, Ryan Kibler; and great-great-grandchildren Ella Grace Kibler and Elijah Kibler. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Harold Eugene Levitt, stepson Albert Franklin Levitt, and grandson Robert Lee Kibler.
