We were lucky enough to be Uncle Lou's nephew and niece (in-law). There were many special things about this man who we deeply admired, but what comes quickest to mind was his laugh (and ease telling a joke) and his genuine interest in the people and family around him. We'll miss him dearly.

Dear Carolyn,
You don't know me but I knew Louie when I was a teenager in Findlay, IL. I had quite the crush on him in high school because he was an older guy but he used to come to our house in Findlay because I had older sisters. My name was Freda Leeds then. He was a really sweet person and I am sorry for his untimely death. My heart goes out to you in this time of sorrow.

So sorry to hear about Lou's sudden death. He was one of the nicest men I have ever met in my life. I have never forgotten him or you. You are on my mind and in my heart.

Dear Carolyn,
So sad to hear of Lou's passing. He was a great guy and I will treasure my memories of the times we had in Mt Prospect in the late 60's and beyond.
God bless and give you stength during this difficult time.

Louie and I had many great times together. After many years without contact, I got his phone number from Ron in October and called him having a nice phone reunion. Glad I did get to talk to him one last time.
