I've known Martha almost my entire life; what an example she set as a Christian wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and mentor. What an encourager she was! Her sweet spirit, smile, and presence always seemd to make things "okay", even if they weren't. We miss her so much, but know she is "home" now, where she truly belongs, with her Lord and Savior, whom she loved and served so well. May God bless your family, Linda!

Lindi has already expressed some of my thoughts. I would simply add that one of my fondest memories of Martha was when she and Howard joined us in Seattle for the North American Christian Convention in 1980. They drove a marathon trip out west and it was a pleasure to share in part of that trip with them. Great picture, Linda, of your parents. It is how I remember them. Their marriage is a great legacy for the rest of the family. God bless you all.

When we moved to Witt in 1979,as the new minister and wife at the Witt church, my husband and I were blessed to know both Howard and Martha. Martha was a kind-hearted and loving woman who taught me to be more kind and more loving and also to be forgiving. She was a Christlike lady who always gave of herself. After we moved away in 1985 we were blessed to receive Christmas cards from her which always included wonderful hand-written notes about how much she loved us and her fond memories of us. She always made us feel so special. I will miss those letters and the special lady who composed them.

Martha was truly an incredible person. She "adopted" me as one of her daughters when I came to Witt. And she kept me even when my own mother came to live in Witt. I am confident Martha, Howard, my mom and all the other saints are enjoying an awesome reunion.

Martha brought so much joy to so many people. The one line that really sticks with me from her funeral is: "Martha had a way of making everyone feel special." So true. When we speak to various church groups, my husband, Scott, and I both use Martha as a wonderful example of a Christian who was loving and encouraging to others. She will be greatly missed, but has left a beautiful legacy. Our love to all the family. You're in our prayers.

Visiting Aunt Martha and Uncle Howard and their daughters with my parents was a special part of my childhood. The house was always filled with love and the wonderful smells of Aunt Martha's excellent cooking. We will miss her but what a wonderful lot of memories she has left behind.

Martha was one of my first Sunday School teachers at Witt Christian Church in the early 60's. She was always kind, a wonderful cook at the many church potluck's, and the love of Jesus was evident on her face and in her life. I thank God for her influence in my life.

Martha was my grandma. For those of you who knew her knew that she was an amazing woman. I thank God that he put someone like her in my life. Grandma was a strong Christian and was one of the most generous people I know. I know that Grandma is with Grandpa right now and that they are looking down at us and I know that they are proud of the family they created. Thank you for all the prays I know that my family is greatful for it.
