FORSYTH - Robert A. McQueen, 79, of Forsyth, IL, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
A service to honor Bob's life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Calvert & Wikoff North Chapel. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. on Monday. Bob will be laid to rest in Mt. Zion Township Cemetery.
Bob was born on February 27, 1945, in Decatur, IL, the son of Francis and Mildred (Sheets) McQueen. He married Patricia A. Weaver on June 29, 1968. Bob was a City Planner for Decatur for over 30 years. Bob retired in 1998 to become a full-time farmer. Bob was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to being a proud farmer, Bob had an extensive toy tractor collection.
Bob is survived by his wife, Patricia A. McQueen of Forsyth, IL; son, Brent R. (Bernessa) McQueen of Schaumburg, IL; sister, Kathy (Jerry) Potter of Decatur, IL; brother, Bill (Martha) McQueen of St. Charles, MO; grandchildren: Owen and Amelia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

In appreciation of Bob's caretaking role after Pat's dementia diagnosis, in lieu of flowers, the family suggested donations be directed to Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA, 18901.
