ARTHUR - Rosie Etta Mitchell, 81, of Arthur, IL and a resident of the Arthur Home for 14 years passed away at 8:10 A.M. Thursday, March 13, 2008 at The Arthur Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main Street, Arcola, IL. Burial will be in the Edgewood Cemetery in Edgewood, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Rosie was born on September 22, 1926 in Edgewood, IL. She was a daughter of William and Grace (Neift) Goen. She married Lawrence Rolland Mitchell on June 24, 1944 in Effingham, IL. He passed away on March 29, 1994. She is survived by one daughter, Grace Hutchcraft and her husband Dale of Arthur, IL; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Her parents, her husband, Lawrence Mitchell and one son William Mitchell preceded her in death. Rosie was a great cook. She had worked as a cook Moses Cafe, Angel's Cafe and the Arthur Home.
