Shawn Rutherford Obituary

- Shawn Matthew Rutherford, infant son of Matthew and Dannielle Rutherford, died Aug. 30, 2006, in St. Louis Children's Hospital, St. Louis, Mo., at the age of five days. Services were Thursday in Wilson Brim Daniel Chapel, Ash Grove, Mo., with the Rev. Tom Geer officiating. Burial followed in Maple Park Cemetery, Springfield, Mo. Shawn was born Aug. 25, 2006 in Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo. Surviving are his parents; grandparents, Marion Rogtke of Cambridge; Sean Martin of Springfield; great-grandparents, Frances Scherrer of Cambridge; James A. Martin of Springfield; Tom and Theresa Rutherford of Decatur; Art and Jean Alderman of Walnut Grove, Mo.; Thomas F. and Joan Rutherford Sr. of Decatur. Let the love you have for one another comfort you in this time of sadness. Know that God has a special plan for Shawn, and that he is in a wonderful place. Your families are a strong rock to lean on, and know that they are there to help you through this too. You two are very loved. May God bless you during these tough times, and let you grieve with an understanding that every day will be a little easier to get through.
