Thomas F. Malcom, 86, of Pana, IL, died Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Pana Community Hospital, Pana, with family by his side.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 9, 2025, in First United Methodist Church (FUMC), Pana at 2:30 p.m., with Pastor Jessica Baldyga officiating. Visitation will also be Sunday, March 9, 2025, in Pana First United Methodist Church beginning at 1 p.m., until time of Service. Committal Service will be Monday, March 10, 2025, at 1 p.m., in Evergreen Cemetery, Woodford County, El Paso, IL. Memorials in honor of Thomas Malcom may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Thomas Frederick Malcom was born October 30, 1938, in Bloomington, IL, the son of Floyd Thomas and Louise Mae (maiden name Meyer) Malcom. He grew up on the family farm in El Paso, and attended elementary and high school there, graduating with the Class of 1957. Tom also went to Brown Business College in Peoria, IL, receiving an Associate's Degree. Tom was employed in research with Caterpillar for 35 years at their Mossville Plant. Tom first married Janice L. Saunders, and she passed November 10, 2007. Tom married Juanita Ann Thurman Thompson on June 7, 2009, in Bethel Presbyterian Church, Peoria, and she survives. Tom was active in the community and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Pana Moose, and was previously a member of Civil Defense Patrol and the Odd Fellows Lodge.
Thomas F. Malcom is survived by his wife, Juanita of Pana; son, Tim Malcom (Lisa) of Bellevue, IL; daughter, Melody Malcom of East Peoria; stepson, Byron Good (Stacy) of Dana, IL; stepdaughters, Susie Berninger of Pana, Patricia Lyons of Pana, and Elizabeth Pearson (Tom) of Chunky, MS; and brother, Tony Malcom (Sue) of El Paso.
He is preceded in death by his Parents; son, Christopher Malcom; and brother, Don Malcom.
