Aracely Acosta Obituary

Aracely "Shelley" Acosta
October 21, 1930 - February 6, 2022
Miami, Florida - Upcoming Service: In accordance with Aracely Acosta's wishes, her ashes will be joined together with the ashes of her husband, Alberto Acosta, at a Nautical Celebration of Life in March 2022.
Acosta, Aracely, 91 of Miami, FL passed away February 6, 2022. Shelley, as she was affectionally called, was born in Bogota, Colombia. Throughout high school and beyond, she enthusiastically volunteered at her local church, Nuestra Reina de Las Nieves and Accion Catolica Colombiana, teaching catechism and preparing children for their First Communion. Shelley enjoyed travel & photography. She eventually pursued a career as a photo lab technician earning her way to Studio Manager in Bogota before moving to Miami, "The Magic City" in 1958. She married Alberto Acosta in December of 1958 and together devotedly raised two daughters, Martha & Patricia, while she continued her career at Rich Photo Labs in Miami.
Shelley's dedication to her family, serving others in her community, her admirable strength to persevere and succeed as an immigrant while demonstrating kindness to all she met, will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the Acosta family kindly request donations be made to a charity of your choice. Thank you for your love & support.
