Bambi Lake Obituary

Bambi Jeanne Askins Lake, age 61, of Homestead, passed away on November 6, 2016. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 29 years Steve Lake, sons Rocco DiBenedetto and Chris (Flora) Lake, brother Mike (Linda) Askins, all of Homestead, brothers John (Sharon) of Jupiter and James Askins of Zephyrhills, step-brother Tom Mead and step-sister Cynthia Mead of Homestead. She was predeceased by her mother, Jean Askins Noce, father Marvin Askins, and brothers Butch Askins and Mickey Askins. Bambi was born in Bonne Terre, Missouri on May 31, 1955, and moved to Homestead in 1961. Loved by all, she was known and respected for her impeccable integrity, terrific sense of humor, and telling it like it is. Growing up tough with five brothers led to Bambi earning a Presidential Physical Fitness Award as a young girl when John F. Kennedy was President. She remained tough and resilient throughout her life, always exhibiting a great love for her family, friends, and dogs. Bambi will be dearly missed by all of us. A private celebration of Bambi's life for family and friends will be held on December 3, 2016, in Homestead.

My deepest sympathies. May the God of all comfort strengthen the entire family during this time of sorrow. Keep in mind that God keeps in his memory those whom we lose because they are precious in his eyes. (Psalms 116:15)
