Bernard Barker Obituary

Bernard Leon Barker, the Cuban-born CIA operative who was a central figure in the Bay of Pigs invasion and later a Watergate ''plumber,'' died Friday morning at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Miami. He was 92.

He succumbed to lung cancer, according to his daughter and only child, Marielena Harding of Miami Lakes.

Barker is also survived by his wife, Dora Maria Barker. He lived in Westchester.

Visitation begins at 6 p.m. Friday at Bernardo Garcia Funeral Home, 8215 Bird Rd. A funeral procession leaves from the funeral home at 1 p.m. Saturday for Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 4801 W. Flagler St., where Mass will be celebrated at 1:30. Internment follows at Graceland Park Cemetery, 4420 SW Eighth St., Coral Gables.
