CHASE IRVINE Obituary

IRVINE, CHASE H., 83, of Village Trail, Port Orange, Fl. passed away after a brief battle with cancer. She joins her husband, Robert who predeceased her, in heaven with the Lord. Chase was born June 30, 1929 in College Park, Maryland. She married Robert Clark Irvine on December 21, 1946 and they moved to Miami, Fl. in 1949 and later to Port Orange in 1993. She had three children: Robert Chase Irvine and his wife Joline, of Melbourne, Fl.; Susan Gayle Borchin and her husband Jerry of Daytona Beach, Fl.; and James Wood Irvine of Cape Canaveral, Fl. She has two grandchildren; Claudia Gayle Irvine of Indiatlantic, FL and Craig Robert Irvine and his wife Alison of Houston, TX. She has one great grandchild, Andrew Robert Irvine of Houston, TX. Chase loved her family and was a very loving, caring mother who was a great role model in life. She was an avid reader. Chased loved music and played the piano, organ and accordion. She was also a great seamstress and made most of her and Susan's clothing. She also did most of the reupholstery for the home. Chase attended Lynchberg College in Virginia and graduated from Bard Avon Secretarial College in Baltimore, Maryland. Many years later, at the age of 43, she graduated from Miami Dade Jr. College in Miami, Fl. with an Associate in Science Degree in Medical Record Science. She loved her work as office manager for Drs. Fisher, Bradford and Kalstone of Coral Gables, Fl. and then later as a medical record librarian for Doctors Hospital, Coral Gables, Fl. For the last ten years, after her husband's passing, Chase has been cared for by loving hands at Countryside Lakes Assisted Living Facility, Port Orange, FL. Chase's family wishes to thank the residents and staff for their loving care and wonderful support. No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chase's name to Halifax Health Hospice of olusia/Flagler. Condolences may be shared the family at www.volusiamemorial funeral.com
