Donald Mazzone Obituary

Officer Donald E. Mazzone

July 5, 2025

Palm Springs North, Florida - It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of the legendary [Retired] Miami Springs Motorman, Donald E. Mazzone. His commitment and passion was the driving force behind keeping the residents of Miami Springs protected for more than 36 years. Those who knew Officer Mazzone, witnessed his unwavering loyalty to his family, friends and colleagues. His love for a good adrenaline rush, drove his desire to have hot rods and fast boats - which included the creation of the Bandit Racing Team with his two amazing sons, Tony and Guy. Besides being survived by his two sons, he is also survived by the love of his life, Gladys, whose unconditional love was witnessed by all who knew them. And as we know it today, he was the most amazing "girl dad" to Lynn Lilly (Alan), Kelli Avera, Amy Diaz and his "pawfect" girl, Jackie. However, his most coveted title that he wore with the utmost pride was grandpa to Brandon, Stefan, Ariel, Bella, Victoria, Anthony, Justin, Rebecca, Jennifer and Jared, along with his four beautiful great-grandchildren. Officer Mazzone, "10-7" as of July 5, 2025. May you rest in eternal peace.
