Dora Medina

Medina,Dora E., 93, of Miami, FL passed away peacefully in her home on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013, surrounded by her devoted family. Born in Key West, FL, on December 15, 1919, she was very proud of being a "Conch." Dora was predeceased by her loving son, Joseph Monserrat and her husband, Carlos Medina. She leaves behind her children Dora (Dan) Downey, Cookie Medina, Terry Haedo, Jose (Michelle) Medina, her treasured grandchildren, Courtney, Justin (Deanna), Nicole and Hannah, as well as many who loved and cherished her. Dora was an unpretentious, kind, giving woman who brought joy and warmth to everyone she met. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and spending time with her family and friends. Dora was a longtime parishioner of St. Kevin's Catholic Church. As a devout Catholic and, in lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made in her name to Catholic Hospice. Chapel Services will be held on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery, located at 11411 NW 25th Street, Doral, FL. Service will be followed by a gathering at her son, Pepe's, home at 12825 SW 119 Terrace. - Mom, say "Hi" to Tony, and we hope you are winning at "Hand & Foot."
