Hialeah, Florida - Eusebio René García, born on December 15, 1931, in San Luis, Pinar del Río, Cuba, to Manuel García and Herminia Jaime, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on October 14, 2025.

He spent his early years working on the family farm before joining the Cuban Telephone Company as a lineman. On November 24, 1969, determined to give his son a life of freedom, Eusebio and his wife, Gregoria Magdalena García, fled communist Cuba with their four-year-old son, Carlos Manuel. Like so many Cuban exiles, he arrived in the United States with little but his will to work and provide.

He took on countless jobs, never afraid of hard labor, until finding his place in the construction industry, where his perfectionism and craftsmanship earned him deep respect. Later, he joined Refricenter of Miami, where he worked faithfully until retiring at the remarkable age of 86.

Eusebio will forever be remembered for his unforgettable storytelling, sometimes wildly embellished but always entertaining, his playful spirit, humility, dependability, honesty and boundless kindness.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years; two sisters; children, René Manuel García, Miosotis Garcia, Carlos Manuel García and René Garcia; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

His legacy is one of courage, sacrifice, and love for family. He was a man who risked everything for freedom and never stopped working to give his children and grandchildren a better life.

Funeral service will be held at Bernardo Garcia Funeral Home, 8215 SW 40th Street, on Thursday, October 16th, at 6 p.m. A mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, Hialeah, on Friday, October 17th at 10 a.m.
