Guillermo Sostchin Obituary

SOSTCHIN, GUILLERMO "Bill," was a well liked and respected attorney in Dade County for over 40 years. His hallmark was one of honesty and integrity, in both the Legal and Real Estate communities. Mr. Sostchin was a very active member of the South Florida Jewish Community. He left a lasting impression on the many institutions he dedicated himself to, especially as President of Beth Jacob High School for close to 20 years. He was also a Board member of Talmudic University, Miami Beach Community Kollel, Agudas Israel of Florida and former President of the Latin Division of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. Most importantly, Bill Sostchin was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his life-long partner and wife Henrietta Sostchin, his children, Rabbi and Mrs. Feivish Shapiro, Rabbi and Mrs. Dovid Grossman, Rabbi and Mrs. Dov Sostchin,his brother David Sostchin and his many grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 12th at 7:30 PM at Torat Moshe, 1200 Normandy Dr., Miami Beach, commemorating the "shloshim" (30 days) of his passing. In 1983 while my then husband and I were getting a divorce, Bill not only handled our house closing but gave us some life advice. I live in broward now and was looking in Herald only today because my friend's Dad just died in Miami. I am saddened to learn of Bill's passing. His twinkle will be missed.
