Jerry Hoffer Obituary

Jerry Hoffer, 65, of Davie, Florida passed away on Monday October 12, 2009. He was loved dearly by all who knew him. Jerry is survived and dearly missed by his three daughters, eight adoring grandchildren, and two brothers. Jerry was a member of the Olive Tree Messianic Temple where he shared in his love for his Lord and redeemer Yeshua! Funeral Services will be held on October 18th, 2009 at Vista Memorial Gardens located at 14200 NW 57 Avenue. A viewing will begin at 2pm with services to follow at 4pm. Internment will be at Vista Memorial Gardens on Monday, October 19th at 11:00 am followed by a brief reception.

To Jerrys Family
I was recently in Miami and getting ready to call Jerry and say hello as I have so many times. I was at the home of our mutual friend and heard what happened to our friend.
I went to school with Jerry, lived with him in Miami Springs and hired Jerry to sell "Cutco". Jerry was a good friend and I have the best memories possible of our times together working and playing at the Riverhouse.
I spoke with Jerry many times but sadly only met a few times since college and that was my loss.
I wish you the very best and the strengh to endure Jerrys passing. I will never forget him.

I am so sorry and sad to hear the tragic news. Jerry was a wonderful man and a great father. As a child I spent many days at his house playing with the girls. He would spend so much time with my Uncle, cooking all the time. Even a simple BBQ would turn into a feast when those two got together. I will him so much.

We knew Jerry from Miami Bible Church. He was a fun person and sincere about his relationship with Jesus Christ. Our prayers are with his daughters, grandchildren and others that were close to him that the Lord will comfort and give you peace.

We are deeply saddened by the death of our dearly beloved friend, Jerry. He was a member of our church, Miami Bible Church, when we were there in the pastorate. it was a real joy to see him and spend time with him when we visited Miami in January of 2007. We are especially thankful now that he gone. He was a very special man, and we will miss him. We are so thankful that He gave his life to the Messiah many years ago at Miami Bible Church and that he is with Him now--no more of the pain and sorrow he knew here. He is at rest. We expect to see him when we are all finally HOME with Messiah--that BLESSED HOPE. Our deepest love and sympathy to his three very special daughters and their families and his other family members and Paula. Words can never express how much I miss you. I can not believe it has not even been a week since we found you and the services are over and here I am without you.
I am so sorry for your suffering. You did not deserve what happened to you. I know how hard you tried. We all do.

I'm so sad that I lost such a dear friend much too soon. I still expect him to be knocking at my door to visit and have some coffee with me. He was one of the kindest and considerate individual that I know. I could always count on him making me laugh as he truly was a funny man. He impressed me so much of the love that he had for his children and grandchildren. They were his life and he so looked forward to the times he spent with them. He was so proud of all of them and especially CJ.
