Jose Baeza Obituary
July 27, 1932 - April 24, 2025
Miami, Florida - Jose Manuel Baeza (Manolo) fallecio el 24 de abril de 2025 en Miami, Florida, a los 92 anos. Nacido y criado en La Habana, Cuba, hijo de Jose Manuel Baeza y Evangelina Mazon, curso la primaria y la secundaria en el colegio catolico La Salle, y luego se graduo en 1954 de la Universidad de Miami con un titulo en Ingenieria Mecanica. Se caso con su primera esposa, Encarnacion Gonzalez, en Cuba en 1956, y tuvieron tres hijos: Jose Manuel (Manolito), Javier y Michele.
Se traslado a Puerto Rico en 1960, donde vivio durante catorce anos. Allí fundo la primera de varias empresas de venta y alquiler de equipos industriales, que con el tiempo expandio para incluir companias en Miami, Panama y Costa Rica, todas actualmente bajo la direccion de su hijo y sus nietos. En 1986, contrajo matrimonio con Brunilda Nunez Baeza, y juntos compartieron casi cuarenta anos de alegria y aventuras, hasta su fallecimiento.
Mas alla de sus logros profesionales, Manolo amaba la pesca, una buena partida de poker, viajar con su esposa y disfrutar del tiempo juntos y con sus amigos, tanto en Miami como en Panama, especialmente en su casa de campo en El Valle de Anton. Fue un amigo leal y entranable para todos los que lo conocieron. Por encima de todo, Manolo fue un verdadero patriarca, que no deseaba nada mas que lo mejor para su familia, y su presencia será profundamente extranada.
Le sobreviven su numerosa familia: su amada esposa, Brunilda Nunez Baeza; sus hijos Javier (Penny) Baeza, Michele (Dennis) Kelleher, Ana Victoria Garcia-Navarro, Rafael (Rachael) Garcia-Navarro, Carolina Garcia-Navarro, Lulu Garcia-Navarro (James Hider) y Ramon Pielago; 15 nietos: Nikolas, Javier, Jose Manuel, Alejandro y Marco Baeza, Deborah Diaz, Jack, Eva, Dylan y Riley Kelleher, Alexandra y Adriana Uriarte, Anastasia Garcia-Navarro, Marina van Beek y Cassenia Hider; ademas de diez hermosos bisnietos, así como sobrinas y sobrinos que lo querian entranablemente. Le precedieron en la muerte sus hijos Jose Manuel (Manolito) Baeza y Olga García-Navarro, y su nuera Waleska Visalden.
La misa se celebrara en la Iglesia Catolica St. Agnes, ubicada en 100 Harbor Drive, Key Biscayne, el 12 de mayo de 2025 a las 11 a.m., seguida por la inhumacion en Caballero Rivero Woodlawn North, 3260 SW 8th St, Miami.

Una partida muy dificil de asimilar, tuve la bendición de conocerlo (con su especial gusto por la poesía) y trabajar para él por 19 años, un Señor único, siempre dispuesto a compartir sus conocimientos, velando por sus seres queridos, disfrutando su vida y viviéndola plenamente. My "Tio Manolo" was one of those "larger than life" people I was blessed to know. A most remarkable and generous man, he was to me always a celebrity with presence, always a leader. I admired him not only for his keen insight into human nature and incomparably shrewd business acumen, but for his gift of always placing his great love of family above all else. Despite the seemingly impossible aspiration to ever live up to his greatness and legacy, my tribute to him is to try my best. Tio, I love you very much and shall miss you even more.

It is hard to believe that Tio has gone from this earth. His legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren and loved ones. I have so many fond childhood memories of him and the cousins. I hope those he left behind take comfort in the wonderful memories.

I still cannot accept the fact that my darling husband is gone forever. We were together for almost forty happy years of married life. He was everything a wife could ever want, he was caring and dependable and I will miss him to the end of my life. He is now in the hands of the Lord where we will reunite some day.
