Joe-Joe was bigger than life and by far one of the most colorful characters I ever knew. Long before there was a South Beach, Frank and I spent many nights going to the hotel shows with him, drinks at The Castaways and breakfast at The Playboy Club.He always added to the entertainment. But, there was also a serious side to Joe. He was an outstanding member of the community and forward thinker when it came to farming. Who can forget the time he chartered a 727 to Mexico and brought back thousands of tomato plants here saving hundreds of jobs. It has been years since I've seen Joe but have inquired about him from time to time. My sincere condolences to his family and all those who loved him. I'm sure he will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, Joe.
