Kevin Dempsey Obituary

DEMPSEY, KEVIN T., 63, of Miami, died November 19, 2004 in Tulsa, Oaklahoma. Born in Englewood, NJ, he had lived in Miami since 1983, after residing in Leonia, NJ for most of his life. Mr. Dempsey served active duty in the U.S. Army and retired from the reserves as a Chief Warrant Officer. He was a retired pilot from U.S. Customs after more than 33 years in the U.S. Goverment, beginning his career as a Sky Marshall. Mr. Dempsey was preceded in death by his parents, James and Inez Dempsey, and a sister, Norma Jean Dempsey. At the time of his death, Mr. Dempsey was survived by his wife Cheryl; a sister, Martha Marques of Reston, VA; two brothers., Phil Dempsey of Pasadena, CA, and Stephen Dempsey of Huntsville, AL. (who died on Dec. 11, 2004); six nephews and two nieces. Services were held on Dec. 1, 2004 at Purcell Funeral Home Chapel, Bushnell, FL with Rev. Martin Campbell officiating. Interment was at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL, with Military Honors rendered by the U.S. Customs Honor Guard and a fly over.
