Robert, Ryan, and Colin Garraty

I was just scanning some sailing news and came across an announcement for a memorial regatta in Liam´s honor. My sons Ryan and Colin competed with the Coral Reef Yacht Club Youth Racing program for five years and Liam was an inspiration especially to my son Ryan who raced on his team in both Optis and 420s. We are still a part of the Miami sailing community and having I having grown up in Rhode Island competing for URI Sailing this news hits close to home. Liam is a sailing legend and Hall of Fame member that will be remembered and looked up to by future youth sailors for the years to come. God bless the O´Keefe family.

I didn´t know Liam very well. But I had the privilege of sailing with him at regattas.
On the water, he was a force to be reckoned with. On land, he was a friend to all.
Sail on Liam.

Dear Alison, Doug, Sawyer, Mac and to the rest of the family,
Our hearts were shattered when Bev sent us this tremendously devastating news. We hope and pray you'll find solace in knowing for such a short life, Liam lived it to the fullest and took advantage of all the gifts he was given.
We share in your loss and hope that all the wonderful memories of him will help you all find peace and joy in knowing that he lived fully and you got to be there watching him grow into the fine young man he'd become.
Much Love,
Bets and Art
