It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Lucrecia Smith Falla who died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on August 27, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born on February 10, 1943, in Havana, Cuba, she carried her roots with pride throughout her life. She studied at the Sacred Heart, where she nurtured the values of faith, courage, and confidence that shaped her character.
With a natural eye for beauty and detail, she pursued interior design while also dedicating her heart and time to being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Family was always at the center of her life, and her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and love.
Her journey took her across different countries, where she built a life rich in experiences and friendships. She was admired for her wit, her humor, and her kindness, which left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Her passing comes just two months after that of her beloved husband, Enrique Falla, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Today, we find comfort in knowing they are reunited once more.
Lucrecia will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her daughter, Ileana, her son, Enrique Jr. and her six grandchildren: Rafa, Max, Gaby, Vero, Enrique and Ignacio. She is survived by her sister Tita Smith Hernandez, as well as her beloved nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial mass on Monday, September 8th at 10:00 am at:
St. Raymond's Catholic Church
3475 SW 17th Street
Miami, Florida 33145

Sorry to hear of her loss but she is now reunited with Enrique, the love of her life! A great woman/mother who accompanied/supported Enrique in his very successful career at Dow Chemical. May she Rest in Peace and our condolences to family!
