Manya Greenhouse Blechman Obituary
August 8, 1935 - May 26, 2025
Miami Beach, Florida - Manya (Terry) Greenhouse Blechman passed away on May 26, 2025 in Toronto, ON. Her loving partner, Phil Rudolph, was at her side. Survivors are her children, Billy Blechman (Nancy) and Barbara Sherbill (Ray); grandchildren, David Blechman (Abby), Melissa Blechman, Rachel Sherbill and Julie Sherbill (Vito Todeschini); great-grandchildren Riley and Matthew Blechman and Mattia Sherbill.
Terry was born and grew up in Rochester, NY, the adoring daughter of Dr. Julius and Mitzi Greenhouse. The family moved to Miami Beach in the early 1950s, where Terry completed high school as a proud 1953 graduate of Miami Beach Senior High School. She attended the University of Florida and the University of Miami. In 1956, she married Donald Blechman and settled in Miami Beach, not far from where she grew up.
Terry remained an active member of her community throughout her life. She found joy and adventure in everything. She loved traveling, sailing, gardening and knitting and, most of all, spending time with her family.
We give special thanks and love to her partner of the past 11 years, Phil Rudolph, with whom she shared and built memories after Donald's passing. Terry remained fierce in her remaining years despite injury and illness, and never wavered in her positivity and lust for life. A graveside service is planned for Friday, 11:00 a.m., at Mt. Nebo Memorial Gardens, 5505 NW 3rd St, Miami.

Terry and I have been friends since Beach Hi and remained friends through The UM days and post marriage times. Our late husbands (Donald & Barry) made us all 'boating' friends , Phil became special to David and I and I was honored to have Terry as my Matron of honor the second time around. We will miss her and her indomitable spirit.
