It´s so hard to believe Dr. Karl has been gone for 13 yrs! As I sit in a waiting room of a new endocrinologist, I think about how much time he´d take with each patient, no matter how much time they required. His dedication to his patients made him truly exceptional! You are missed so much doc!

Dr Karl was our daughter, Meryl's favorite doctor. She battled brain cancer. Meryl recently joined Dr Karl in Heaven. We are grateful for his beautiful care and will always remember him. To his family I say, Dr Karl sent ripples that are still resonating out to many. God bless.

I was recently helping a client organize some old papers and I found a medical report signed Dr Michael Karl. My heart ached remembering your kindness, your compassion, your wisdom and your care. No one will ever replace you. You were so much more than our doctor-you opened your heart and listened to everything I had to say, treated the whole person. You were the one who taught me the connection between my migraines and gluten and you would be so proud of me-I have been gluten and dairy free for 6 years now. You saw my struggles, you listened, you never judged but you were strict! I think about you so so often and pray for your eternal happiness. I had the pleasure of working with him in clinic at UM as well as taking my daughter to see him as a patient.
My biggest regret in life is that I cancelled my appointment with him because it was later in the afternoon and I knew i would be driving back from Miami after dark. He spent so much time with his patients.

During the brief time that my grandson was Dr. Karl's patient, we experienced with Dr. Karl the most thorough and compassionate treatment from any medical care giver that I have dealt with in my lifetime. It's wonderful to read that his students recognize the special gifts he imparted to them. I pray that they carry those gifts into their own professional lives, as his legacy. I was blessed to have had Dr.Karl as a professor in medical school. Our small class was a wonderful space for him to share his incredible personality and wit. His work and knowledge lives on through his students. His healing now goes so much farther han his own reach. He once told us we were his children, his family. He made this evident in the way he nurtured our learning and our compassion for patients. We were so blessed to have such an exceptional teacher, colleague, and friend. We miss you, Dr.Karl.

I think of you so very often and how much you were there for me over the years. I really still can't believe that you are gone. I have my beautiful precious 5 year old daughter thanks to you and your care for me and my thyroid cancer. Hannah you can clearly see how your son touched so many lives in such a profound way. Seldom does a week go by that Dr.Karl is not in our thoughts. His kindness and patience towards his patients, as well as the families, was limitless. Just yesterday I met a medical student from FIU and again, remembered Dr.Karl. He is etched in our memories and in our hearts forever.
